Greater
It is a real sign of progress that the
members had many difficult decisions to make among so many fine candidates at
the march 13th meeting. Representatives from both Beth
Hafer's and Steve O'Donnell's campaign were
present. The club also had a conference call with Steve O'Donnell. They
are running for the 18th district Congressional seat.Steve
O'Donnell submitted an excellent response to our questionnaire, and seems to be
committed and knowledgeable on issues of concern to glbt
people. He earned an honorable mention. We hope to see him as an office holder
in the future. Beth Hafer , however received endorsement based on her background
and work on previous campaigns as well as her responses.
The club endorsed Mike Doyle in his re-election bid
for the
In the Pa. House of Representatives incumbent Jake
Wheatley was endorsed for district 19. Deidra Washington was happily given honorable mention.
Brenda Frazier was endorsed for the 21st. district. Our good friend Dan Frankel
was enthusiastically endorsed (again) for the 23rd. The Club thanks Lucille
Prater-Holliday from
For State Treasurer Rob McCord was endorsed . His involvement in politics, fundraising, his MBA from The Wharton School of Business and his financial
expertise uniquely qualifies him for this office. Jennifer Mann received an
honorable mention for State Treasurer.
The Club received three excellent responses from
delegates committed to Hillary Clinton. They were Colleen Cooke, Sylvia Wilson,
and Dan Frankel. Hillary Clinton is endorsed for president.
